Security for Importing from a BW InfoCube

Hi Experts,

We are importing data from a BW InfoCube and encounter the error
below.

Can you advise on the correct security objects and roles that need
to be provided to allow import from BW cubes?  The users have the required BPC roles per the security
guide.

The message that appears:

Incorrect authority to perform this action.  Also when continuing the message appears: Object
reference not set to an instance of an object.

Notes referenced

A)  I checked note 1613620 and where it directs us to grant authorization to the source InfoCubes   "Firstly user must be assigned NetWeaver authority object
S_RS_ICUBE or S_RS_ODSO to
access to this infoprovider by NetWeaver administrator; this depends on what infoprovider you want to access"

They have * access.

B) Also referred to note 1613125 which states as below:

In addition, BW reporting tools such as BEx
cannot access the cubes unless additional BW analysis
authorizations are explicitly assigned to the user. A Planning and
Consolidation Data Manager
package can also no longer access the BW cubes -- other than
Planning and Consolidation cubes -- to
load data. Technically, granting the virtual analysis authorizations is
realized by implementing BW BADI
"RESC_VIRTUAL_AUTH_BADI". The BADI will always be called when BW cubes are accessed. When the conditions listed above are met, the system appends the necessary BW analysis authorizations to the

Planning and Consolidation user to pass the BW authority check.

Not sure what to do with this – there are no objects we see in
security to grant.

Thanks

Eyal Feiler
