Hi experts,
Hoping you can help.
We have a DM package to create master data on the fly that runs the following script logic:
*START_BADI MDOTF
QUERY=OFF
WRITE=OFF
VARIANT = $VARIANT$
UNIQUE_ID = $UNIQUE_ID$
SELECTION = $SELECTION$
*END_BADI
The BadI (ZBPC_MASTER_DATA_ON_FLY) successfully creates the master data in the backend almost instantly, however the package continues to run and in SM50 it is 'On Hold' and reason: 'SLEEP'.
After 10 or so minutes of RUNNING, i believe the package times out and prompted with the WARNING for a number of unspecified Dimensions (see full log attached):
[WARNING!] NO MEMBER SPECIFIED FOR DIMENSION:ACCOUNT WILL QUERY ON ALL BASE MEMBERS.
With QUERY = OFF in the script logic I don't understand why it queries all base member of these unspecified dimensions.
The master data is created successfully in the backend, however the Dimension for which the master data is created is not processed.
Any suggestions or reasons why:
- The package continues to run? (despite creating the master data)
- Does not process the dimension?
- Throws up a warning that suggests its querying all base level members of unspecified dimensions?
800 SP11 version of BPC 10.0 NW on BW 7.3. Potentially something to do with MDX engine?
Worth noting: we have implemented this on another system before with identical script logic and completes in 10 seconds succesfully (BW7.4 SP2)
Have found no relevant OSS notes.
Vadim Kalinin do you possibly have any insights? Please let me know if you require any more info.
Many thanks,
James M
