We are currently in the process of creating an environment with SAP BPC 10.1 on BW 7.4 on HANA. We currently have a consolidations environment, only, on BPC 10.0 on BW 7.3 on SQL. However, we are going to build out the Planning capabilities and would like to leverage Embedded modeling (aka. unified modeling). It seems there are a number of companies who have merged their BPC content directly in with their overall BW content. In a number of cases, however, companies have opted to keep the BPC content separate from their overall BW environment. I realize some of this is subjective and some of this is unique to each company's environment / scenario. However, can you please share experiences of pro's and/or con's for merging the two or keeping them separate? We're pretty new with BPC and want to do the best we can to set things up the right way for our scenario, early on to avoid a great deal of re-work or administrative overhead, later. Your input is greatly appreciated. I hope this will help others, too.
