end user functionality to upload forecast data from file into BPC10 (NW)

hi,
i'm looking for suggestions on best option for end user to upload "excel file" into BPC10(NW) that has all the required dimensions along with sign data in a simplified and user-friendly process with few clicks. I thought of following 2 options and appreciate your feedback.
I can't use "input template" option because forecast data doesn't include all of dimension members which vary from month to month. (for example, out of a total of 400 dimension members, this month, forecast will only be for 250 members and next month, it could be for only 200 & another month only 300 members etc). So, input template requires user to manually plan each and every line.

hence, following are the possible options that i could think of

1.  Use EPMSAVEDATA function
excel file has 10 columns with 9 required dimensions and signdata in 10th column. in the 11th column, i'm using EPMSAVEDATA function to point to 1st 10 columns.
This looks to be the best solution and simple to implement and (more importantly, user-friendly solution for user).
But, i've a challenge here. If any of the 1st 9 columns has a non-BPC member, this row is not getting saved into BPC when user clicks on "Save Data" (all other rows that have valid BPC members are getting saved OK).
So, How do i stop "save" and notify user that there are errors (in the form of non-BPC members)? or atleasat highlight the rows that are not saved into BPC.

2.  Create DM package link with following steps.
     a)  take excel file and put it on BPC server
     b)  run import package to take file from BPC server

my question on this is, "how can i automate steps a & b above" with no DM package prompts but just click on "run now"?
for example, step a (upload file) requires actually to identify where the file needs to be specified. Is there a BADI that places the file as-is in "pre-defined" location so step b can be pointed to that location?
