Hi all,
I am testing End User functionality in order to verify the validity of our User Security set up.
When I run a flatfile import (/CPMB/IMPORT) as an End User, the package is successfully released (with under the User ID of our RFC User BPC_SERVICE), but fails with the error:
Task name CONVERT:
You do not have authorization to perform task ( Task Name: )
My End User Task profile initially contains the tasks (and fails):
- Run User Packages
- Upload Data
The Authorisation Objects/BPC Tasks that appear in an Authorisation Trace, and subsequently have to be added are:
- Run Admin Packages
- Edit Transformation Files
- Edit Conversion Files
- Cancel Any User Packages
- Edit Package Schedules for any Users.
It seems illogical to me that a user would require access to these tasks in order to run an import package. Can anybody shed any light on this? It is untenable to provide End Users with that level of access.
Many Thanks,
Tom.
