Flattening hierarchy structures in BPC reports

Hi Guys

I have this following scenario which needs replicating through BPC reports. Master data for cost centre is maintained with the following hierarchy maintained under PARENTH1.

Node 1

Node 2

Node 3

Cost Centre

Now the report requires this hierarchy to be flattened to help with the usual excel pivots and the like. Plus to reduce the number of lines that a hierarchical display would give. The output required is as follows.

Col 1                    Col 2       Col 3            Col 4

Cost centre          Node 3     Node 2         Node1

Columns 1 and 2 are easy. Cost centre is in the row axis; Node 3, I have read in from the epmmemberproperty function. However, the rest of the nodes (2 and 1), I cant seem to find any function for that. I thought there might be some EPM function to work with hierarchies or levels, but the documentation doesnt seem to have any.

Would any of you have come up against such scenarios? I would think they are pretty common.

regards

Shrikant
