Dependency of EPM Excel Add-in version with BPC backend server patch level

Hi,

We are currently using BPC EPM 10 NW version. We are considering upgrading our BPC backend server to SP 11. We are unable to find any definitive place which identifies whether the EPM add-in also needs to be upgraded to a minimum patch level in order to continue to work unaffected. The PAM seems unhelpful in this matter.

Can anyone point to the relevant documentation on this?
