Hi experts,
we need to add something like an "analytical" accounts for each account in our account dimension.
The problem with comment is that for one account, we can store only one comment.
We thought to add an additional dimension with some predefined members, but then users will lose a flexibility to add a comment that they wish.
example:
account comment1
Travel 2 person travel to Sydney
Travel 3 person travel to Tokyo

Dear Experts,
We use BPC NW 10.0 with SP9 and EPM-AddIn 19.
I'm trying to load transactional data from ERP --> BW in preparation to import these values into the BPC later.
therefore i created a process chain in SAP BW to trigger this process.
I now want to trigger this process chain using the Data Manager in EPM.
I created a package using /CPMB/TRIGGER_BW_CHAIN.
When executing the Package, the process chain is triggered(!) but no data will be added to the InfoProvider. The DTP ends up in a deadlock without returning error or succesful.
When triggering the process chain using normal BW backend in RSPC the process ends up succesfull
My process chain looks as follow:
I already looked SCN for a similar problem without success.
Do you have any suggestions how to solve this problem? Are there any specifics I have to consider when using /CPMB/TRIGGER_BW_CHAIN?

Hi,
I am currently working on some templates where there are multiple dynamic EPM reports with shared column dimensions and multiple dimensions in the rows. I am using EPM Add-in SP21 patch 1.
We would like to have a section title appearing between the reports, I have tried a number of methods but have not found a solution that produces quality results.
Methods tried:
1. A local member on the row inserted at the start of the second report. The local member text appears in the right most row dimension column which is not the right place for a title. Also the titles for the dimension rows are not copied.
2. Insert a dummy member and override the member name. There are a couple of problems with this method, subsequent dimension ID's are populated and local members are also applied to this member.
3. EPMInsertCellsBeforeAfterBlock. I only managed to get this to copy a single cell into the data columns, not the row dimension columns.
4. Use VBA to add a title. The API GetDataTopLeftCell will return the starting position of data in a specific report. This can then be used to insert text into the previous line as a title. The disadvantage here is that VBA is being used but it can be used to produce the required results though you need to handle formatting and any password protection within the VBA.
I imagine that this is quite a common requirement. Ideally I would like to solve this without resorting to VBA or some exotic workaround.
Any suggestions appreciated.

I have added 2 members in a Dimension in QA and would like to transfer these changes to PROD. So i have done a backup of the metadata of Application App1 and trying to restore on already existing App1 ..however the restore fails with the message Application App1 already exists .
Can i replace a already existing Application with Restore from QA to prod ? Any steps ?

Dear All,
I created a new team(Team1) and added User1 as part of Team1. User1 has been given rights to run DM package.
But, when User1 logs-in and launches Excel add-in, he is not able to see the packages under other folders. How can I ensure that User1(of Team1) can run DM packages in all the folders?

I'm trying to change the working status for a category and a specific period.
However in doing so the system is generating error
Failed in checking status in control
Failed or unexecuted control sets exist in your data region
I'm doing this from Excel client, option EPM tab, save data, change work status.
Working state has already configured in the Web Administrator
That I can do to fix this error?

I've created a simple Input-Ready Query to try some stuff with BPC Embedded. The creation of Cube, Multi, Aggre, Imput-Ready Query, BPC Embedded Model was straight Forward. But when I open my Query in the Excel EPM I don't see any (Master)-Data. I can only identify the names of the dimensions on the Excel Sheet. When I open the Member Selector and don't see values at all.
On the other hand I used the same Query in Analysis for Office and it works fine.
I use 32bit 2013 Office. Is this still an issue? Do I have to use 64bit for Embedded models? Or what's the matter?

We installed SAP BPC 10.1 and in the final steps, install the environmentshell, the system send us a window to put a package. We put as a local object, $tmp, but we are not sure if we done it properly. The installation guide doesn't refer this step and we don't know if we will have issues with this.
Does anyone knows if we done right or any document with this info?

I am new with BPC and I have a couple of questions about IC data/booking and its business rule. I am sorry if it seems too basic.
1) In the guide BPC440 and other guides available on the internet, we could see they are using ICDIFF01 in debit account in the IC business rule (see picture). What is that account ? Its hierarchy/parents ? Is there any screenshot to see what is its structure ?
2) How does ICDATA retrieve records ? Does it simply find data for AR/AP and P&L where an intercompany dimension is recorded ?
3) ICBOOKING posts the difference between IC for AR/AP. What about P&L ?

I have a requirement in SAP BPC 10.0 NW.
Suppose Vendor accounts has debit balance and that should reflect under Assets in a particular period and in subsequent periods, if the balance changes to credit balance then again naturally it will be in liability side in Balance sheet. Similarly, there are customer accounts also for which, I am looking how to implement this account changes in BPC.
We have Account shift functionality in SAP ERP, but I need some help in how to achieve this functionality in BPC reports.

EPM Excel Add-in 10 SP 21 .NET 4 build 9094.
On my embedded model. I have a BEX query on a aggregation level which I access in a report using the EPM Add-in Excel .
When I edit my report in EPM Add-in Excel , and I try to select the dimension members for a selected dimension member, I get the following error.
"The given key was not present in the dictionary"
Any assistance to help resolve the problem will be appreciated.

For your better understanding, the background of this issue is that I currently have the planning solution configured and in use in BPC 7.50, in another
server, and on it I have the same ACTUAL uploading process from our legacy system (SIG) working just perfectly.
PS: The process chain to load transaction data from BW infoprovider using 2 transformation files was configured by SAP consulting, since this was a project made by SAP consulting.
So, I am migrating the solution to BPC 10.0, and is better to say "reconfiguring" the solution to BPC 10.0. I just recriated the transformations and convertion files, the process chain (and all its custom variants) and the data package. But in the new configuration, I am unfortunately facing this problem whlie executing the Process Chain.

So, what I need is to understand if there was any change between BPC 7.50 and BPC 10.0 (regarding this custom variants), that is preventing the new configuration to work as it should, or better saying, as I already have working in BPC 7.50.
I checked already the variants configurations and the Data Package Script, to certify that everything is correct, and it seems perfect!
The strange thing is that the process chain executes the first Convert (ZGIF_INFOPROVIDER_CONVERT1) with no problem, and it is exactly the same configuration as the second Convert.
5. Variant Configuration (ZGIF_INFOPROVIDER_CONVERT1)
Should I use other variant between the first Load and the second Convert?
