Lite Optimize very slow after Clear Package run
Hi All,
We are experiencing very slow lite optimize (with compress) after the Clear package has cleared the data. Lite Optimize runs almost 1.25 hours. Has anyone experienced this?

Retreive comments through "EPMSaveComment" function
Hi,
I need to save and retreive comments from excel through EPM Add-in through the "EPMSaveComment". when I save there is no problem ( I even checked in SAP BW tables and i found all the comments I saved ).
But when I want to retreive the comments I only Get the Last one that I saved. In fact, I need to retreive all the comments.
How can this be possible ?

BPC 10.0 NW : Download and install EPM Add-In patch
Experts -
I've downloaded and installed EPM Add-in for Microsoft Office on the server for the users to access for upload to their workstations. How do I install the patches? Do they need to be distributed to the users workstations or is there a way to install them on the server so the version that is uploaded is the patched version?

7.5 bpc nw i/p error
hi
When i key in any value in one particular report it shows -ve value , for example if 1 the shows -1. the acc type associated is verified and it is fine with settings as inc and exp respectively. In all other reports and i/p schedules it is fine for the same accounts . only inone report it shows the -ve values.
not knowing y. in backend it is right , the way i keyed in. but in report it shows -ve.
only one i/p sch shows negative any suggestions?

EPMMemberProperty not refreshing the Property value
Dear BPC Friends,
I am creating a BUDGET input template in EPM 10NW and I have created a flag (i.e property) in Category dimension. This flag/property is BUDGET_YEAR and the value of this will be year i.e 2014,2015.
I am using this property in the template to define time columns range i.e 2015.Jan.---2015 .Dec. When I pull this value using EPMMemberProperty it only pull the value in template for the first time. After this if I change the value in Category dimension, it does not get refreshed/changed in template. I have done following
- 1- Refreshed Metadata for current connection
- 2- Refreshed the report many time
- 3- Logout and log in back
- 4- Category dimension has been processed well as the status shows green signal.
Kindly advice as what could be the reason for this problem.

The consolidaiton data could change after the consolidaiton and once ,results are declared by the company.
What is the best way to take freeze the data in BPC report, so that we have softcopy of declared results.
Can someone share the experience on this and best practise?

Save allowed in Input Schedule when Lite Optimize Running
Hello Experts.
I am hoping someone will be able to help me out with a strange happening this morning.
Each day, we have an automated Lite Optimise process which runs. As I undersand it, this process takes the back-end cube out of planning mode while the roll-up and statistics are updated. If someone attempts to save data back to the cube from an input schedule at this time, it will fail.
However, this morning, a user was able to save an input schedule while the lite optimise was running.
Am I missing something here ? How could this happen when the cube wasn't in planning mode ?

SAP BPC 10 NW Environment backup/restore issue (UJBR)
Hi all,
When we tried to restore SAP BPC environment using UJBR
transaction, getting program dump with error message “GETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED- Field
symbol has not yet been assigned.” When it is without master data and transactional
data included, it is working fine. Program dump details are attached.
We are on SAP BPC 10 SP04 on BW 7.31 with SP06 and using SAP
GUI 7.30 with Patch 04.
Any one faced similar issue? If you have any solution, ideas
please let us know..

Unable to log in to EPM Client
Hi Experts,
We are facing some issues when we tried to log in to EPM client. It was working fine previously. We did tried to run program "UJA_REFRESH_DIM_CACHE" by checking every selections but it is still having the same issue.

Copy SFP_SHELL aborts due to MDX Statement error: 'An exception has occurred'
Hi guys,
we've installed the Rapid Deployment Solution SAP BPC Strategic Financial Planning (SFP_SHELL). (BPC 10.0, SP 10, BW 7.3 SP 3)
When copying the SFP_SHELL into an environment that we would like to use as our playpen, the copy aborts with the error statement >>MDX Statement error: 'An exception has occurred'<<. According to the log, the error occurs shortly after a process step listed as 'Extending the member formula for dimension S_TIME'.
This causes my inclination that the error might have got something to do with the creation of the Time Dimension MDX formulae. (Ref program UJ_MAINTAIN_MEASURE_FORMULA, which is the program that allows you to view and edit the formula, calculating PERIODIC, QTD, YTD, etc. 'on the fly' based on the Time dimension member hierarchy.)
However, that's it from my point of investigating view, I am struggling to come up with an idea of how to fix the copy error.
So... knowing that the 'truth is out there' - should anyone have come accross this or a similar issue, or even got an inclination or idea about how to fix this issue, thanks for sharing!

P.S. BTW - I've got SAP_ALL, so the issue is unlikely to be related to authorizations.

Formula
I have an input form that has 3 reports in it. One of the columns (P) I have is a total and when I refresh it contains the excel formula =sum(O20) so it is simply referencing the cell next to it. The problem is I have no idea where this formula is coming from? I have disabled all formatting and local members and it still shows up. what else could be populating this column?

Unfortunately, it only works if we change:

BPC 10 NW - Error in validating Script Logic for multiple dimension selections

We are using a script which is copying all the costs of a group of cost-centres to a representative dummy Cost-centre (in another hierarchy) and account to be used for further calculations. It is working fine when the user is choosing a single cost-centre.

The "Costcentre" dimension id is 8 digits. The parent member of each group of costcentres is in the format "XXXX0000" where XXXX is the same as value of the property "Groupcode".
The business wants to run this for different costcentre groups at the same time. Have tried to incorporate a "*FOR... NEXT" loop with no success
